Mumbai: According to trade pundits of Bollywood say 2012 has been a balanced year for the Hindi film industry.  Eight of the big starrer movie collected more than Rs. 100 crore. Small budget movies with new treatment and storyline became major hits unexpectedly.  Of the 150 releases of Hindi movies in the year 2012, none of the films were utter flops.  Thus 2012 can be said as one of the best year for Bollywood industry. Khan trio continued to rule the industry. Given below are the names of top ten moviesof Bollywood in 2012.
Ek Tha Tiger:  Ek that Tiger’s box office collection was 199.2 crore.  Lead actors of the film were Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.  It had good music, powerful action sequences and is a neat film when compared to other films of Salman Khan.
Rowdy Rathore:  Akshay Kumar returned to Bollywood with Rowdy Rathore.  It had Sonakshi Sinha in the lead female role.  Box office collection of this film was Rs. 140 crore.  Prabhudeva directed the film and the action, dance and comedy made the movie one of the interesting films to watch.
Agneepath: This was the first hit of Bollywood in 2012.  This was also a remake film and was directed by new director Karan Malhotra.  Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt played crucial roles.  It collected Rs. 120 crores at the box office.
Housefull 2:  This was the sequel of 2010 move Housefull.  The film could entertain the audience in spite of 12 unknown actors playing the lead roles.  Sajid Khan directed the film and the comic sequences of the film made it stand out.  The film collected Rs. 110crores at the box office.
Barfi:  The cute, delicate love story with excellent performance by the leading actors made the film an emotional film to watch.  Anurag Basu directed the film and the hero of the film is deaf and dumb, the character is played by Ranbir Kapoor.  Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role – the character of an autistic girl.  Barfi was sent as official nomination for Oscar foreign movie category.  It made collections of Rs. 100 crore at the box office.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan:  The last movie directed by Yash Chopra, it had the generous touch of Yash Chopra.  Shah Rukh Khan’s intense emotions, Katrina and Anushka Sharma’s delicate performance helped the film collected Rs. 120 crores at the box office.  The film beautifully captured Kashmir Valley and was also shot partly in London.
Bol BachanBol Bachan is a remake of 1979 film Gol Maal.  Rohit Shetty is the director of the film.  Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan played the lead roles.  The film collected more than Rs. 100 crore at the box office.  It was a treat to watch the performances of Ajay and Abhishek.
Son of Sardaar: This comedy film collected Rs 105 crore at the box office and stood among the top movies of Bollywood.  Ajay Devgan Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha played the important characters.  The stunts of Ajay Devgan riding on two horses etc made the film favourite with the masses.
TalaashThis movie is a suspense thriller and is directed by Reema Kagti.  The character of a Mumbai cop is played by Aamir Khan to perfection.  The suspense thriller collected Rs. 90 crore at the box office.  Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji added glamour to the movie.
OMG: Oh My God: The movie is a combination of humour and also delivered a message at the end.  Box office collection of this movie crosses Rs. 70 crore.  Paresh Rawal played the lead character along with Akshay Kumar who played the God.  Umesh Shukla directed the movie.
Apart from the above movies, there are other movies such as Cocktail, Raaz3, Agent Vinod, Jannat 2 and so on which stood as top movies of Bollywood in the year 2012.
