Are there any options provided for the answers. One can eliminate options that don't look good ( do not show the relationship ) and then arrive at one of the possible answers:

For example, if the options for the first question were

Question: 8:18::24:?

Options: (a) 50 (b) 51 (c) 52 (d) 53 then we could say answer is (a) = 50, because 8 * 2 + 2 = 18, and so is 24 * 2 + 2 = 50.

On the other hand if the options for the first question were (a) 124 (b) 51 (c) 52 (d) 53 then we could say answer is (a) = 124, because we prefix 1 on the number on the left to arrive at the number on the right

prefilx '1' + '8' = '18' :: prefix '1' + '24' = '124'.
